No 'pendulum swing' for Adventist health practices

Seventh-day Adventist Church leaders took action October 15 in offering guidelines for instances when the church's beliefs are at odds with social legislation, particularly with hiring practices at church institutions.

Daniel R. Jackson, president of the Adventist Church in Canada, said the document would give churches around the world the ability to act with the authority of the world church body when social legislation conflicts with church policy.
